Cruising on an ocean liner is usually a fantastic experience, regardless of the ship’s age. Some people also prefer older ships because the layout and features appeal to them more. It’s fun to cruise on a new ship, much as it is to drive a new car. Several major cruise lines have planned maiden voyages for their latest cruise ships in 2021, so you won’t be short of options.
Apex is Celebrity’s newest offering to the cruising world and is sister to the Edge in Celebrity’s Edge class of ships. Apex also features a Magic Carpet and lodgings that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living. Apex also has a rooftop garden where you can unwind. Suite guests will have access to The Retreat, an exclusive sanctuary with drinks, gourmet bites, and live entertainment available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
PRINCESS CRUISES ENCHANTED PRINCESS
Enchanted Princess joins Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Majestic Princess, and Sky Princess as Princess Cruises’ fifth Royal-class ship. She was supposed to sail Mediterranean itineraries until the summer of 2020. She is now expected to set sail in May 2021.
Of course, the Enchanted Princess is a MedallionClass ship, which means your cruise vacation can be more personalized and hassle-free. This new ship will have the largest balcony suite in the line’s fleet. The Sky Suite, a 1000 sq. ft. continuous balcony with luxury furnishings, invites you to lounge in privacy or host your own gatherings.
VIRGIN VOYAGES’ SCARLET LADY
Through his own cruise line, Sir Richard Branson strikes again. This is a unique opportunity that you should not pass up. Virgin Voyages offers a one-of-a-kind experience (except for your inner child?) by including the following perks at no extra cost:
-Wi-Fi access is unrestricted (Premium plan additional)
-All meals (including the premium restaurants)
-Workouts in Groups
-Simple beverages (includes filtered still and sparkling water, non-pressed juices, sodas, teas, and drip coffee)
A vinyl record store, hammocks in terrace staterooms, and suites with a music room with guitars and amps are among the Scarlet Lady’s other exclusive features.
SILVERSEA SILVER MOON
Silver Moon, Silversea’s latest ship, is a sister ship to Silver Muse with a few layout improvements. Some venues had to be relocated due to the introduction of the S.A.L.T. culinary enrichment program. They’ve also increased the size of the spa to accommodate the increased number of passengers onboard.
The immersive culinary program at Silver Moon provides guests with the most diverse gastronomic experience possible. Saveur’s former editor-in-chief Adam Sachs helped curate the experience, which focuses on experiencing your destination through taste by “sourcing authentic ingredients prepared with respect to tradition.” Trips to local markets when in port, special dinners in the S.A.L.T. restaurant, and cooking demonstrations with local guest chefs in the cooking lab are all possibilities.
CARNIVAL MARDI GRAS
With their newest ship, Carnival has gone all out. This ship is made in a unique way. It is divided into regions.
Take in the ocean view while sipping coffee, listening to live music, or sipping a cocktail at Grand Central.
The French Quarter is lined with pubs, restaurants (one of which is Emeril’s Bistro 1396), and even a jazz club.
Summer Landing is known for being “the best chill place at sea.” Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse|Brewhouse, The Watering Hole poolside bar, and Swirls soft serve station are all located here.
Cucina del Capitano and a new Mediterranean spot that specializes in seafood are located in La Piazza, which is the Italian zone.
All is aware of the Lido. Guys Burger Joint, Seafood Shack, and BlueIguana Cantina are some of the old classics on Mardi Gras. There are also a few new restaurants, including Street Eats (fast-food empanadas, falafel, and bao buns) and Big Chick (Shaq’s newest venture).
On the top deck of the Ultimate Playground, there is a roller coaster where riders sit in motorcycle-like cars that allow them to regulate the speed (which is helpful when you’re high above the ocean LOL).
The Mardi Gras will have the same familiarity as other Carnival ships, with a few new features to make your cruise even more enjoyable.
ROYAL CARIBBEAN’S ODYSSEY OF THE SEAS
The motto of Royal Caribbean is “go big or go home.” That is their slogan, and they live by it. The Odyssey of the Seas is the world’s first Quantum Ultra Class cruise ship, sailing between the United States and Europe. This ship will accommodate over 4,000 passengers. Consider how many towns do not have that many residents!
Onboard, you can participate in the following activities:
-Laser tag that glows in the dark
- Skypad – (virtual reality trampoline)
-Cars with bumpers
-Observation capsule North Star
Is it possible to charter an adventure yacht? Yes, please! Have you seen my to-do list? This life is all about me! Remote expeditions, cultural discovery, and destination exploration itineraries are all part of the Crystal Endeavor itinerary.
Enjoy Crystal’s iconic six-star service with one of the industry’s largest staff-to-guest ratios. An experienced crew, drawn from Crystal’s award-winning ranks, is joined by a team of experts, including explorers, scientists, and others.
The project will include the following elements:
-a submersible craft,
-a viewing platform for stunning sights (perhaps the Northern Lights? ),
-a solarium where you can unwind at any time of day or night
You’ll have a butler in classic Crystal style because it’s an all-suite ship. Endeavor would have a one-to-one staff-to-guest ratio, allowing them to offer exceptional service.
Viking Venus is the company’s seventh oceangoing ship. Viking Venus, like her sister ships, will provide complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, as well as complimentary WiFi and at least one complimentary shore excursion in each port of call. At no extra cost, you’ll have access to the thermal suite, which includes a hydrotherapy tub, thermal lounges, saunas, plunge pools, and even a Snow Grotto. On Viking Venus, you won’t find a casino, an art auction, pushy photographers, or rough sells for pool drinks.
The Restaurant, the World Café, the Pool Grill, and Mamsen’s are only a few of the complimentary dining choices accessible. Manfredi’s, Chef’s Table, and Kitchen Table are examples of specialty dining. The Kitchen Table is the only dining establishment that charges a fee.
The Viking Venus has a wide range of staterooms, ranging from a 270-square-foot Verandah to 1163-square-foot Suites.
